MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING WORK SESSION
OF THE HISTORIC AND CULTURAL ADVISORY COMMISSION
JANUARY 19, 2023
1. CALL TO ORDER at 3:00 PM
2. ROLL CALL

Commissioner Dianne Price; Commissioner William Meade; Commissioner Deborah

3. CALL TO THE PUBLIC
Pursuant to A.R.S. §38-431.01(H). public comment is permitted (not required) on matters NOT listed on the agenda. Any such
comment (i) must be within the jurisdiction of the Commission, and (ii) is subject to reasonable time, place, end manner restrictions.
The Commission will not discuss or take legal action on matters raised during Call to the Public unless the matters are property
noticed for discussion and legal action. At the conclusion of the Call to the Public, individual commissioners may (i) respond to
criticism. (ii) ask staff to review a matter, or ()Mask that the matter be placed on a future Commission agenda.

4. DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION: Historic and Cultural Advisory Commission Vision and Mission
Statement
The Vision Statement of HCAC:
Promote community pride and understanding through awareness and partnerships.
The Mission Statement of HCAC:
To advise the Town Council on matters related to our history and cultural awareness. Our purpose is to
inspire public awareness and appreciation of our shared history and cultures to preserve that history and
foster civic pride.

6. DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION: Historic and Cultural Advisory Commission Strategic Planning
It was agreed upon by the commission to further discuss the HCAC Strategic Plan at the February 1,
2023 meeting. Ms. Lopuszanski will be sending out the Town of Fountain Hills Strategic Plan for
reference for commissioners to review.
