AVENUE OF THE FOUNTAINS, FOUNTAIN HILLS, AZ Commissioners of the Town of Fountain Hills will attend either in person or by telephone conference call; a quorum of the Town’s Council, various Commission, Committee or Board members may be in attendance at the Commission meeting. Notice is hereby given that pursuant to A.R.S. §1-602.A.9, subject to certain specified statutory exceptions, parents have a right to consent before the State or any of its political subdivisions make a video or audio recording of a minor child. Meetings of the Commission are audio and/or video recorded and, as a result, proceedings in which children are present may be subject to such recording. Parents, in order to exercise their rights may either file written consent with the Town Clerk to such recording, or take personal action to ensure that their child or children are not present when a recording may be made. If a child is present at the time a recording is made, the Town will assume that the rights afforded parents pursuant to A.R.S. §1-602.A.9 have been waived. TO SPEAK TO AN AGENDA ITEM, please complete a Request to Comment card, located in the back of the Council Chambers, and hand it to the Executive Assistant prior to discussion of that item, if possible. Include the agenda item on which you wish to comment. Speakers will be allowed three contiguous minutes to address the Commission. Verbal comments should be directed through the Presiding Officer and not to individual Commissioners. He was open but unsure of the reception from Independent CEO Charlene Bisson. It would not likely be something that could be done with regularity, and it is difficult to know when space might be available for even a small item such as this. Ryan said he would discuss it with Charlene, but I will reach out to see if I can get an opportunity to present it to her. It is possible she would seek to treat this as advertising at a cost, which could make the idea moot. Here are a couple of the top ideas I would be able to spend time doing some research and come up with more: The nozzle on the Fountain that creates the ability to spray water 500 plus feet into the air was built in Zurich, Switzerland, and was first turned on in Fountain Hills in December 1970. 1. He would like to propose a “computer cartography” project. "I think aerial and area photographs (shot by the Times and MCO (perhaps among others) could be digitized and made into an “interactive map” of Fountain Hills. The title of the map might be “Fountain Hills, the first 50 years.” It would give an overview through time, of how this town was developed. Showing new roads, homes, commercial, educational, and recreational development through the years of roughly 1971 — 2021 (present). I’m pretty sure we would need to collect at least a few hundred different photographs for a computer guru to be able to get that work done."
