ALL: I pledge allegiance to the flag af the Llnited States of America and to the republic for which it stands ane nation, under God, indiisible, with liberty and justice for all. CHAIR REDICK: All right. We are gaing to hae a moment of silence. All right. And a quorum is present and we'I! proceed with aur rolf call. MAZEIKIS: Cammissianer Ron Rupert? MAZEIKIS: Chair Carey Reddick? CHAIR REDICK: Present. MAZEIKIS: And Vice-Chair Rry Wilson? WILSON: Here. CHAIR REDICK: All rigt. Quorum is present, and we are going t❑ praceed wi#h our meeting. We'll start with the consent of the agenda. 5o these items are considered routine and we'fl apprae with -- with a motion, unfess a commissioner has requested an item to be remaed. So is there a mction to approe and consent the agenda? WIL50N: I moe to apprave. CHAIR REDICK: And a second. BARNES: Seand. CHAIR REDpICK: A!I right. And then we'If ote. SNIPES: Yeah. You can just do the all in faor. Page 2 af 6 TDWN QF FOUNTAIN HILLS IIRARCH 23, 2U25, COMMLJNITY SERVICES AQVISRY CQMM15510N MEETING MINl1TE5 CHAI R REDICK: All in faor? ALL: Aye. CHAfR REdDICK: All right. We're going to mae to handling the mations. And we will start with the presentation. 5N1PE5: 5o we did hae aur -- I assume we're on regular agenda now, right? That was the minutes. ❑kay. We had our -- got aur numbers bak around 22,OOa peaple attending far the Cancourse in the Hills. That's what our official numbers show, een thnugh their estimates were a lit#le bit higher than that. That is the number that -- that our -- our computer system -- can't think of what it's called. Yeah, drawing a blank told us that we had there that day which was really goad attendance. That's a lot of people maing thraugh when yau onsider the park's full of 1,afla ars and haing 22,0 people around them, it takes up a lot of space in the park. RUpLpHY: 5o there were 1.000 cars there? SNIPES: 1,10. RUdLPHY: 1,].0 cars. SIIPES: Yep. RUOLPHY: I was there. I saw the 2Z,0 peaple I think. SIIPfS: Did you meet eact ❑ne af them? Yeah. 5o but it went really well. There were just under 54Q,00 t#at they were able t❑ raise #or the Phoenix hildren again. Every year I just hape that we can cross over that $5a0,00 barrier, and it seems like we were within, like, I think we were within 3D0 bucks one year. And it was like, ❑h, ome ❑n. 5o but still a really good event and fundraiser for the Phvenix Children's Hospital as well as the town and the economic impat that -- that gaes a3ong with hosting an event that size. 5o that went really good. Want me to just mave ❑n down through these? CHAIR REpDICK: Yeah. I was just gaing ta say we can then move t, yau knaw, point, or I shauld say b, e, and d. 5N IPES: 5a the Arizona 5tate Puzzle Program we just hung anather nine puzzle pieces a few weeks agQ nw, 1 guess it was. 5❑ it's starting t❑ laak much mare full. I think we're Page 3 of 6 TOWN nF FUNTAIN HILLS MARCH 23, ZQ2fi, COMMUNITY SfRVICES AVI50RY CpMM1551QN MEETING MINUTE5 at about 54 piees that are left. 5a we're getting there. It's been steady lately. We've had several people that have inquired about it, and -- and s❑ we are moving through that proess. But it is not going er and seeing it now campared to when it was just a blank slate, and seeing thase pieces start to fill in is really starting to take shape, and it looks really govd. ur upoming eents, this week we have aur volunteer reception ❑ver at the cammunity center. 5a that'll be a really good event. And I think she's clase ta 234 people ar 244 people that'll be there so it'll be a nice ig event as well. And we ave vur -- aur next event is 5aturday with the Eggstravagan2a and Tauch a iruck. We cambined the two of those this year. it's the first year we'e done that. Eggsiravagan2a just seemed like there was sa muh setup up and tear down that the event was oer in ahout 13.2 seconds. I think it's our reord, s❑ we like to try and extend that a little bit. 5o we decided tv bring in the Tauch a Truk eent with it, which ts this time of year, I knaw that yQu guys knaw, but our staff is running ragged almost every weekend and #hrough the week. Sv combining the two of them made it a little kit easier on staff to -- ta hQst one big event ersus two small eents and hae to be here multiple weekends. 5a hopefully that warks out really welf. We co hae a new enue fr that this year. This is the first time we'e cfone it at Desert Vista Park. So that'll change that up a little bit as weli so hopefully that all goes realiy smaothly and Mather Nature plays nice and doesn't rain out the fields for that event. We'e had that happen for our Touch a Truck there the first year we #ried t❑ moe it ver #here. So hapefully that all goes really goad, but we are IQoking forward ta it. The eggs are all oer the office right now, so we're rady for it. Conerts an the Avenue start here in April. Every Thursday they'll be an the Aenue exept far the third Thursday. And that ane will move bak uner t+e pavilion flver in Centennial Pavilion, but the other -- there's fie hursdays this year in April, so four of them will b2 orr the Avenue and ❑ne will be oer there. And then just a couple weeks aut naw, as Ryan told me today, sneaking up on him, Irish Page 4 of 6 TOWN OF FOUNTAIN HILLS MARCH 23, 2fl26, CnMMUNITY SERVICES AbV150RY CDMMISSIQN MEETING NIINUTES Music Fest wifl be April 4th. We're haping t❑ capitalize on our gains from last year and loaks iike we're supposed to have same really nice weather again. 5hould be in the 80s instead of the 9s or 1Qps ❑r Os or whatever we get up ta now. 5❑ it should be a great eent an! we're looking forward to that as well. Those are our close and upcoming events. We are looking still for some extra help for Music Fest if anyane's interested. We need same ticket -- ticket sales, beer tickets and wine tickets as well. Are you going ta add samething? Fire away. MAZEIKlS: And also, too, on page z ❑n the staffing report Kim Wikland, her information or Kimberly Wickland, her infflrmation, her cantact information is listed here. And she would be more than happy to help you guys with that valunteering apportunities. 5❑ feel #ree to reach out t❑ her. SNIPES: Awesome. I think that's all I'e got for those. CHAIR REDRICIC: Cammissianers, are there any questians? 5o we hae an update ❑n our next meeting date, which will take place April 27th at 5 p.m. Naw I waud like ta open the call to the public. Anyone? A!I right. Commissioners, are there any future requests for future agencla items that we shauEd acfd? All right. RL1pOLPHY: Kein, you hae a presentatian tomorrow for CIPs that you're gaing to try to onince council, too, so that might be an interesting topi ta hear about what your future plans are as part of your narmal talking pvints. SNIPES: 5ure. Yeah. I'd be happy ta -- ta share what -- what we gv ver as well as what the results are and which ❑nes are apprved. We're going to d❑ the same #hing that we'e been ding the ast seeral years of doing a red, yellvw, green liht mentality on it. 5❑ if we get green lit an projects, it's a g❑ for all the contracts and any transfers or anything like that that's needed. lf it's a yellow lit project, it means that they are interested in the +n the praject, but would like for us to come back with some more clarity. 5ometimes, like, ane that falls into that a!ot af times will be like community center improements. We know we want t❑ da some more, but we're not sure what we want t❑ do yet. 5o they'll approe it into the budget, and then we'll come bak later and get Page 5 of F TOWN OF Fal1NTAIN HILLS MARCH 23, 2026, COMMUNITY 5ERVICES AOVI5DRY COMMIS510N MEETING MINUTES their final approal ta do wratever it is that we deGide we want to do. 50, like, the lights and fans were done under a yellflw light prvjet because we didn't have the style ❑r what we were gaing tv da or what it was gving to look like efore we did that. 5o we had to bring that back. 50 -- anc! then the red light ones are the anes that they're not interested in, ar+d we'll hump them ❑ut to either a further year ar we'li terminate them completely. VEREI.A: For the splash park -- I mean, I'm seeing it all oer the connectian. What is the route? What's the reason? Is it really treating -- treating the water that the splash park cars't lae ❑pen? And can I ask that nflw, ar daes that hae to ga an a-- SNIPES: We can talk ahout that on -- fln auture agenda -- VERELA: ❑kay. SNIPES: -- so t#at we're not autside of aur agenda. VERELA: Then, yeah, I'd like #o add -- add that. SNIPES: 5ure. CHAIR REDaICK: AI1 right. Any other requests to add to the agenda? Qkay. 1s there a motion to adjourn? VERELA: i mave ta adjourn. CHAIR REDdICK: Can I get a seond? 6ARNES: 5ecand. CHAIR REQICK: All those in faor? ALL: Aye. CHA1R REDICIC: All right. This meeting is adjaurned.
