WHEREAS, The Constitutian ❑f the United 5tates of America, the guardian of aur liherties,
emhodies the principles of limited government in a Republic dedicated ta rule hy law; and
WHEREAS, September 17, 2026, marks the two hun�red thirty ninth anniversary af the
framing ❑f the Canstitution o# the United 5tates of America by the Canstitutional
Cvn�ention; and
WHEREAS, It is fitting and praper ta ac�ard oificial recognition ta this magnificent
dacument and its memarabie anniversary, and to the patriatic celebrations which will
cammemorate it; and
WHEREAS, Publi� Law �15 guarantees the issuing vf a praclamatian ea�h year by the
President of the United S#ates of America designating September 17 through 23 as
Canstitutian Week,
N�W THEREFORE, I, Gerry M. Friedel by �irtue ❑f the authorrty �ested in me as, Mayor af
Fountain Hills, Arizana do heret�y praclaim the week ❑f 5eptember 17 through 23 as
C�NSTITUTIDN 1NEEK
and ask aur citizens to reaffirm the ideals the Framers af the Constitution had in 1787 6y
vigilantly pratecting the freedams guaranteed t❑ us through this guardian ❑f aur liberties.
