A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
FOUNTAIN HILLS, ARIZONA, SUPPORTING THE PASSAGE OF
ARIZONA SENATE BILL 1055 DEALING WITH TORT REFORM.
WHEREAS, meaningful Tort Reform legislation for Arizona is long overdue; and
WHEREAS, Senate Bill number 1055 does in deed propose meaningful Tort reform for
Arizona, specifically for Arizona cities and towns; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Town Council wish to state their position on Senate Bill
1055;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Common Council of the
Town of Fountain Hills now hereby state their support of Senate Bill 1055 and wish to
encourage the State Legislature of the State of Arizona and the Governor of Arizona to
pass this needed legislation as quickly as possible; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and Common Council of the Town of
Fountain Hills request our State Legislatures, Senator Ed Phillips, Representatives David
Schweikert and Lisa Graham, to work diligently towards the passage of this bill.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Mayor and Common Council of the Town of Fountain
Hills, Arizona, this 4th day of February, 1993.
