RESOLUTION OF THE COTTONWOODS MAINTENANCE DISTRICT
BOARD,MARICOPA COUNTY,ARIZONA,APPROVING THE TENTATIVE
BUDGET OF THE DISTRICT FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING
JULY 1,2014 AND ENDING JUNE 30,2015,AND SETTING A HEARING
DATE FOR THE ANNUAL ASSESSMENTS AND BUDGET.
BE IT RESOLVED bytheBoard of Directors of theCottonwoodsMaintenanceDistrict,
Maricopa County,Arizona,asfollows:
SECTION 1.The statements andschedules attached asExhibitAand incorporated
herein bythis reference,are hereby approved forthe purpose as hereinafter set forth asthe
tentative budget forthe Cottonwoods Maintenance District,Maricopa County,Arizona,(the
"District")forthe fiscal year 2014-15.The statements and estimates ofthe operation and
maintenance expenses ofthe District,thecostsof capital improvements andother expenditures
for public infrastructure ofthe District (collectively,the "District Expenditures")are hereby filed
with the District Clerk.
SECTION 2.TheDistrictClerkisherebyauthorizedanddirectedtocausetobe(i)
mailed tothe governing bodyoftheTownof Fountain Hillsand all persons owningreal property
within the District and (ii)published inthe manner prescribed by law,a notice in substantially
the form attached hereto as Exhibit A,thatthe District Board will meet forthe purpose of
conductingahearingforDistricttaxpayersonthestatementsandestimates of District
ExpendituresfiledwiththeDistrictClerk,includingtheannualassessmentsandontheadoption
ofthe 2014-15 AnnualBudgetfortheDistrict;saidhearingtobeconductedonJune5,2014,at
thehour of 6:20p.m.intheDistrictoffices(theCouncilChambersatFountainHillsTownHall),
16705 E.Avenue of the Fountains,Fountain Hills,Arizona 85268.At the conclusion of the
hearingtheDistrictBoardshallpassuponanyobjectionsandshalladopttheFinalBudgetforthe
District;finalapproval of thetaxlevyfortheDistrictshallfollowonJune19,2014,atthesame
timeand place.
PASSED AND ADOPTED bytheBoard of Directors of the Cottonwoods Maintenance
District,Maricopa County,Arizona,onMay I,2014.

The taxpayers ofthe Cottonwoods Maintenance Districtare hereby notified thatthe
Boardof Directors willholdapublic meeting onJune5,2014,at6:20p.m.at District
officeslocatedat16705E.Avenue of theFountains,FountainHills,Arizona,whenand
whereanytaxpayersoftheDistrictwillbeheardinfavorof,oragainstanyofthe
proposed expenditures forthe Cottonwoods Maintenance District,after whichthe
foregoing estimatesasmodifiedorasnowexisting,willbeassessedbytheBoardasthe
basisforthe 2014/2015 budget.Taxpayers mayfile written objections atanytimeprior
tothehearing,andtheBoardofDirectorsshallhearandpassuponanyobjectionsatthe
hearing.Copiesofthetentative2014/2015districtbudgetmaybeviewedpriortothe
June 5,2014,meeting atthe District Clerk's office andthe Town of Fountain Hills
website.
