TOWN OF FOUNTAIN HILLS
SPECIAL SESSION OF
THE DISTRICT BOARD OF
THE EAGLE MOUNTAIN COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT (EMCFD)
June 20, 2013
CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL
District Chair Linda M. Kavanagh called the Special Session to order at 6:27 p.m. in the Fountain Hills Town
Hall Council Chambers.
ROLL CALL – Present for roll call were the following members of the District Board of the Eagle Mountain
Community Facilities District: Chair Linda M. Kavanagh, Boardmember Ginny Dickey, Boardmember Henry
Leger, Vice Chair Tait Elkie, Boardmember Cecil Yates, Boardmember Dennis Brown, and Boardmember
Cassie Hansen. District Manager Ken Buchanan, District Board Attorney Andrew McGuire, and District
Clerk Bevelyn Bender were also present.
CALL TO THE PUBLIC
District Clerk Bender advised that there were no citizens wishing to speak at this time.
AGENDA ITEM #1 – CONSIDERATION OF APPROVING THE EAGLE MOUNTAIN COMMUNITY
FACILITIES DISTRICT BOARD MEETING MINUTES OF JUNE 6, 2013.
Boardmember Yates MOVED and Boardmember Hansen SECONDED a motion to approve the meeting
minutes of the June 6, 2013, Eagle Mountain Community Facilities District Board meeting.
Ms. Bender advised that there were no citizens wishing to speak at this time.
The motion CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY (7-0).
AGENDA ITEM #2 – CONSIDERATION OF RESOLUTION EMCFD 2013-03, APPROVING THE
FINAL BUDGET OF THE DISTRICT AND LEVYING UPON THE ASSESSED VALUATION OF
THE PROPRTY WITHIN THE DISTRICT SUBJECT TO AD VALOREM TAXATION A CERTAIN
SUM UPON EACH ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00) OF VALUATION SUFFICIENT TO
RAISE THE AMOUNTS ESTIMATED TO BE REQUIRED IN THE ANNUAL BUDGET,
SPECIFICALLY FOR THE PURPOSE OF PAYING PRINCIPAL AND INTER EST UPON BONDED
INDEBTEDNESS; ALL FOR FISCAL YEAR ENDING ON JUNE 30, 2014 .
Boardmember Yates MOVED to approve Resolution EMCFD 2013-03, and Boardmember Brown
SECONDED the motion.
Ms. Bender advised that there were no citizens wishing to speak at this time.
The motion CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY (7 - 0).
AGENDA ITEM #3 – ADJOURNMENT.
Boardmember Brown MOVED that the Board adjourn the meeting at 6:29 p.m. and Vice Chair Elkie
SECONDED the motion, which CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY (7 - 0).
