PROCLAMATION
Whereas,Fountain Hills Presbyterian Church has the distinction of being oneofthe very
first churcheschartered in whathasbecomethe Town of Fountain Hills,and
Whereas,this wonderful church hadits infamous beginnings 40yearsago in abarand
restaurant known asLittle John's,and
Whereas,the first worship service onthis 5-acre site in this beautiful sanctuary was held
nearly 31 years agoon December 18,1983,and
Whereas,thisdear church family wasfortunateto have its founding pastor,Rev.Glenn
Atchinson,dedicate himself tonearly25yearsofenergetic ministry here,and
Whereas,this is virtually the 4th anniversary of Rev.Bill Good's arrival asthe Senior Pastor
of this significant church,and
Whereas,thisfamilyoffaithhas more recently recommitted itselftoits witness with
renewed energy and revitalized passion,
Now,therefore,I,Linda M.Kavanagh,Mayor ofthe Town of Fountain Hills,Arizona,do
hereby proclaim Fountain Hills Presbyterian Church acornerstoneof community life and
congratulate this wonderful church on its 40th anniversary,and honor all those who have
madeitavitalpartoftheTownofFountain Hills andavibrantministrytoour citizens.
