TOWN OF FOUNTAIN HILLS
SPECIAL SESSION OF
THE DISTRICT BOARD OF THE
COTTONWOODS MAINTENANCE DISTRICT
June 2, 2016
CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL
Chair Linda M. Kavanagh called the Special Session to order at 6:36 p.m. in the Fountain Hills Council
Chambers.
ROLL CALL – Present for roll call were the following members of the District Board of the Eagle Mountain
Community Facilities District: Chair Linda M. Kavanagh, Boardmember Dennis Brown, Boardmember Nick
DePorter, Boardmember Cecil Yates, and Vice Chair Henry Leger. District Manager Grady Miller, District
Board Attorney Andrew McGuire, and District Clerk Bevelyn Bender were also present
Boardmember Cassie Hansen and Boardmember Alan Magazine were absent.
CALL TO THE PUBLIC
District Clerk Bender advised that there were no citizens wishing to speak at this time.
AGENDA ITEM #1 – CONSIDERATION OF APPROVING THE COTTONWOOD MAINTENANCE
DISTRICT BOARD MEETING MINUTES OF MAY 5, 2016.
Vice Chair Leger MOVED and Boardmember Yates SECONDED a motion to approve the Cottonwood
Maintenance District Board meeting minutes of the June 2, 2016.
Ms. Bender advised that there were no citizens wishing to speak at this time.
The motion CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY by those members present (5-0).
AGENDA ITEM #2 – PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING RESOLUTION CMD 2016-02, APPROVING
THE TENTATIVE BUDGET AS THE FINAL BUDGET OF THE DISTRICT FOR THE FISCAL
YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1 2016, AND ENDING JUNE 30, 2017.
Chair Kavanagh opened the public hearing at 6:36 PM.
District Manager Miller addressed the Board stating the resolution would approve the proposed Tentative
Budget as the Final Budget for FY2016/17; he recommended approval.
Ms. Bender advised that there were no citizens wishing to speak at this time.
Chair Kavanagh closed the public hearing at 6:37 PM.
AGENDA ITEM #3 –CONSIDERATION OF RESOLUTION CMD 2016-02, APPROVING THE
TENTATIVE BUDGET AS THE FINAL BUDGET OF THE DISTRICT FOR THE FISCAL YEAR
BEGINNING JULY 1 2016, AND ENDING JUNE 30, 2017..
Vice Chair Leger MOVED to approve Resolution CMD 2016-02 and Boardmember DePorter SECONDED the
motion, which CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY by those members present (5 - 0).

AGENDA ITEM #4 – ADJOURNMENT
Boardmember Yates MOVED that the Board adjourn the meeting at 6:38 p.m. and Boardmember Brown
SECONDED the motion, which CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY by those members present (5-0).
