Councilmembers of the Town of Fountain Hills will attend either in person or by telephone conference call; a quorum of the Town's
various Commission, Committee or Board members may be in attendance at the Council meeting.
Notice is hereby given that pursuant to A.R.S. § 1-602.A.9, subject to certain specified statutory exceptions, parents have a right to
consent before the State or any of its political subdivisions make a video or audio recording of a minor child. Meetings of the Town
Council are audio and/or video recorded and, as a result, proceedings in which children are present may be subject to such recording.
Parents, in order to exercise their rights may either file written consent with the Town Clerk to such recording, or take personal
action to ensure that their child or children are not present when a recording may be made. If a child is present at the time a
recording is made, the Town will assume that the rights afforded parents pursuant to A.R.S. § 1-602.A.9 have been waived.

Tree Wrapped Lighting
• All palm trees and Palo Verde trees wrapped in 10 strings of
warm white LED mini Christmas lights
• North and South sides of the Avenue
• Will include all trees in clusters of 3 (unlike holiday lights)
• Total trees without median: 168 (Includes south side in front of new
development)
• Developer to install electrical infrastructure on South side of Avenue
• May require electrical retrofit to existing receptacles (photocell to control 1
of the 4 outlets)
• Option of concept 1 with median tree lighting (Concept 1 a)
• Total trees with median: 230
• Requires installation of new receptacles
• Requires installation of photocell, contactor and timeclock to
existing and new receptacle circuits

String Lighting Across the Avenue
• Includes new poles on both sides of each street to
support lights (92 poles total)
• Requires the addition of poles in the street, outside
of the current median curb due to existing water &
electrical utility conflicts. Curb bump -outs will be built
for new poles

Chapter 8.03. C states unshielded landscape illumination cannot exceed
1125 lumens within a 25 ft. radius
Chapter 8.02.B states the correlated color temperature of any outdoor
lighting fixture shall not exceed 3000K.
Concept 1
• Palm trees: 4320 total lumens per cluster of 3 trees will require zoning
exceptions
• Clusters of 3 trees are currently space approximately 60' apart (possible
exceptions include crosswalks)
• CCT is less than 3000K per zoning ordinance
Concept 2
• Every 50 feet of string light is approximately
zoning exceptions required
• CCT is less than 3000K per zoning ordinan
