SPECIAL SESSION OF THE
DISTRICT BOARD OF
THE EAGLE MOUNTAIN COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT [EMCFD]
June 16, 2016
CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL
District Chair Linda M. Kavanagh called the Special Session to order at 6:25 p.m. in the Fountain Hills Town
Hall Council Chambers.
ROLL CALL — Present for roll call were the following members of the District Board of the Eagle Mountain
Community Facilities District: Chair Linda M. Kavanagh, Vice Chair Henry Leger, Boardmember Nick
DePorter, Boardmember Dennis Brown, Boardmember Cassie Hansen, Boardmember Alan Magazine, and
Boardmember Cecil Yates. District Manager Grady E. Miller, District Board Attorney Andrew McGuire, and
District Clerk Bevelyn Bender were also present.
CALL TO THE PUBLIC
District Clerk Bender advised that there were no citizens wishing to speak at this time.
AGENDA ITEM #1 — CONSIDERATION OF APPROVING THE EAGLE MOUNTAIN COMMUNITY
FACILITIES DISTRICT BOARD MEETING MINUTES OF JUNE 2, 2016.
Boardmember Yates MOVED and Boardmember Brown SECONDED a motion to approve the meeting
minutes of the June 2, 2016 Eagle Mountain Community Facilities District Board meeting.
Ms. Bender advised that there were no citizens wishing to speak at this time.
The motion CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY by those members present (7-0).
AGENDA ITEM #2 —CONSIDERATION OF RESOLUTION EMCFD 2016-03, LEVYING UPON
THE ASSESSED VALUATION OF THE PROPERTY WITHIN THE DISTRICT SUBJECT TO
AD VALOREM TAXATION A CERTAIN SUM UPON EACH ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS
($100.00) OF VALUATION SUFFICIENT TO RAISE THE AMOUNTS ESTIMATED TO BE
REQUIRED IN THE ANNUAL BUDGET, SPECIFICALLY FOR THE PURPOSE OF PAYING
PRINCIPAL AND INTEREST UPON BONDED INDEBTEDNESS; ALL FOR FISCAL YEAR
BEGINNING ON JULY 1, 2016, AND ENDING ON JUNE 30, 2017.
District Manager Miller summarized the information in the staff report (available on-line and in the office of the
District Clerk). Ms. Bender advised that there were no citizens wishing to speak at this time.
Vice Chair Leger MOVED to approve Resolution EMCFD 2016-03 and Boardmember Yates SECONDED the
motion, which CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY by those members present (7 - 0).
AGENDA ITEM #3 — ADJOURNMENT.
Boardmember Yates MOVED to adjourn the meeting at 6:27 p.m. and Boardmember DePorter SECONDED U
the motion, which CARRIED NANIMOUSLY by those members present (7-0).
