A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
FOUNTAIN HILLS, ARIZONA, DECLARING AND ADOPTING THE
RESULTS OF THE SPECIAL ELECTION HELD ON MAY 15, 2018.
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council of the Town of Fountain Hills (the "Town
Council") caused to be submitted to the qualified electors of the Town of Fountain Hills (the
"Town"), at a special election held by mail ballot on May 15, 2018 (the "Special Election"), the
question of whether he Town is authorized to levy primary property taxes; and
WHEREAS, the Election returns have been presented to and have been canvassed by the
Town Council; and
WHEREAS, Maricopa County Elections consolidated the Town's five precincts into
two Consolidated Precinct Codes ("CPC") to report the mail ballot election results for the Town
of Fountain Hills.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE TOWN OF FOUNTAIN HILLS as follows:
SECTION 1. That the total number of registered voters was 17,168; that the total
number of ballots cast at the Election was 10,176; and that the total rate of return was 59.27%.
SECTION 2. That the number of provisional ballots was 8, and that the number of
provisional ballots not counted was 5, and the number of challenged ballots was 0.
SECTION 3. That the number of ballots by Precinct was as follows:

SECTION 6. The total number of ballots that were undeliverable due to the recipient
having "Moved Away" was 1,118; the total number of ballots that were undeliverable due to the
recipient being "Temp. Away" was 133; the total number of ballots that were undeliverable was
1,251.
SECTION 7: This Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its
adoption.
SECTION 8. The Mayor, the Town Manager, the Town Clerk and the Interim Town
Attorney are hereby authorized and directed to take all steps necessary to carry out the purpose
and intent of this Resolution.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY the Mayor and Council of the Town of Fountain Hills,
May 21, 2018.
