TOWN OF FOUNTAIN HILLS
MINUTES OF THE EXECUTIVE SESSION OF THE
FOUNTAIN HILLS TOWN COUNCIL
September 23, 2010
Vice-Chairman Dennis Brown called the meeting to order at 7:00 a.m. in the Fountain Conference Room
AGENDA ITEM #1 – ROLL CALL AND VOTE TO GO INTO EXECUTIVE SESSION.
ROLL CALL – Present for roll call were the following members of the Fountain Hills Town Council
Subcommittee: Vice-Mayor Dennis Brown, Councilmember Dennis Contino and Councilmember Tait
Elkie. Paul Mood, Director of Development Services and Janice Baxter, Executive Assistant and
Recorder were also present.
VOTE TO GO INTO EXECUTIVE SESSION: PURSUANT TO A.R.S. §38-431.03(A)(1), FOR
DISCUSSION OR EMPLOYMENT, ASSIGNMENT, APPOINTMENT, PROMOTION,
DEMOTION, DISMISSAL, SALARIES, DISCIPLINING OR RESIGNATION OF A PUBLIC
OFFICER, APPOINTEE OR EMPLOYEE MAY DEMAND THAT THE DISCUSSION OR
CONSIDERATION OCCUR AT A PUBLIC MEETING. THE PUBLIC BODY SHALL
PROVIDE THE OFFICER, APPOINTEE OR EMPLOYEE WITH WRITTEN NOTICE OF THE
EXECUTIVE SESSION AS IS APPROPRIATE BUT NOT LESS THAN TWENTY-FOUR
HOURS FOR THE OFFICER, APPOINTEE OR EMPLOYEE TO DETERMINE WHETHER
THE DISCUSSION SHOULD OCCUR AT A PUBLIC MEETING. (SPECIFICALLY, TO
INTERVIEW SEVEN APPLICANTS FOR THE PURPOSE OF FILLING FOUR VACANCIES ON
THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION).)
Vice-Mayor Dennis Brown MOVED to convene the Executive Session and Councilmember Dennis
Contino seconded the motion, which CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY by those present
AGENDA ITEM #2 – ADJOURNMENT.
Vice-Mayor Dennis Brown MOVED to adjourn the Executive Session at 7:07 a.m. and Councilmember
Tait Elkie SECONDED the motion, which CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY by those present.
