7Yftereas, students who are being mentoredare 55% more likely to be enroiled in
coCCege, 46% less likely than their peers to start using drugs, 81% mare likely to
participate in extracurricular activities and 78% more likely to volunteer in
their communities; and
7vfierea,, coaches, community readers, tutors, andtrustedfriends are working to
mentor today's youth to develop tomorrow's leaders; and
7Ylierear, the contributions of these engaged adults extend beyond the fives they
touch and have a Casting impact that strengthens our country and our future;
and
'Whereas, 73 adults are involved in the Nentoring Program in Fountain Hilir;
and
7Yfmrear, io3 children in the Fountain Hilfs SchooCs are being mentoreih
.Now, tfterefore, I, Ginny Dickey, Mayor of the Town of Fountain Hills, Arizona
