MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE
FOUNTAIN HILLS TOWN COUNCIL
MAY 21, 2019
1. CALL TO ORDER— Mayor Ginny Dickey
Mayor Dickey called the Special Meeting of May 21, 2019, to order at 4:00 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL— Mayor Ginny Dickey
COUNCILMEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Ginny Dickey; Vice Mayor Art Tolis;
Councilmembers Mike Scharnow, Dennis Brown, Alan Magazine (telephonically), Sherry
Leckrone (telephonically at 4:33 p.m.), and David Spelich.
COUNCILMEMBERS ABSENT: None.
STAFF PRESENT: Town Manager Grady Miller, Town Attorney Aaron D. Arnson, Town
Prosecutor Mark lacovino, MCSO Capitan Larry Kratzer, Finance Director Craig Rudolphy,
and Acting Town Clerk Angela Padgett-Espiritu.
3. VOTE TO GO INTO EXECUTIVE SESSION
Councilmember Brown MOVED to recess into Executive Session; SECONDED by
Councilmember Magazine; passed unanimously. The Fountain Hills Town Council recessed
into Executive Session at 4:00 p.m.
4. EXECUTIVE SESSION:
A. Discussion or consultation for legal advice with the attorney or attorneys of the public
body, pursuant to A.R.S. §38 431.03(A)(3).
i. Public Nuisance Ordinance
B. Discussion or consultation for legal advice with the attorney or attorneys of the public
body, and discussion or consultation with the attorneys of the public body in order to
consider its position and instruct its attorneys regarding the public body's position
regarding contracts that are the subject of negotiations, in pending or contemplated
litigation or in settlement discussions conducted in order to avoid or resolve litigation,
pursuant to A.R.S. §38 431.03(A)(3) and (4), respectively.

5. ADJOURNMENT
The Fountain Hills Town Council reconvened into Open Session at 5:25 p.m., at which time
the Special Meeting of May 21, 2019, adjourned.
