(By state law this notice is mailed to each registered voter and each property owner) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of a public hearing before the Board of Supervisors of Maricopa County, Arizona, on Wednesday, April 16, 2003, at 9:00 a.m., in the Supervisors' Auditorium, 205 West Jefferson, Phoenix, Arizona on an Impact Statement submitted to Maricopa County by the proponents of a proposed Fountain Hills Fire District. At the hearing the Board will hear those who appear for and against the proposed district and then determine whether the creation of the district will promote the public health, comfort, convenience, necessity or welfare. The Impact Statement on file lists information about the proposed Fountain Hills Fire District, the benefits, injuries, proposed organizing board membership, the district's estimated assessed valuation, and change in property tax liability for a typical resident. It states that a house valued at $300,000, with an assessed value of $30,000, would have an increased tax liability of $291.00 per year at the proposed district tax rate of $0.97/$100 of assessed valuation. The district would be located in the community of Fountain Hills as shown on the map and legal description, including portions of, or entire Sections, 4-11, 14-17, 20-23, & 26-29 of T3N, Range 6E.
