BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
February 28, 2017
A public meeting of the Fountain Hills Board of Adjustment was convened and called to order
by Chairman Paul Ryan at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2017 in the Town Hall Council
Chambers located at 16705 E. Avenue of the Fountains, Fountain Hills, Arizona.
AGENDA ITEM #2 NOMINATION AND ELECTION OF A CHAIRMAN AND VICE-
CHAIRMAN FOR A ONE (1)YEAR TERM.
Robert Rodgers, Development Services Director, asked for nominations for Chairman.
Boardmember John Kovac III, nominated Paul Ryan and Carol Perica seconded the
nomination. A vote was taken and Paul Ryan was elected Chairman of the Board of
Adjustment from February 28, 2017 through February 28, 2018. (5 -0)
Chairman Ryan asked for nominations for Vice-Chairman. Chairman Ryan nominated Carol
Perica and Board Member Kovac III seconded the nomination. A vote was taken and Carol
Perica was elected Vice-Chairman for the Board of Adjustment from February 28, 2017
through February 28, 2018. (5-0)
AGENDA ITEM #1 CALL TO ORDER, PLEDGE TO THE FLAG, MOMENT OF
SILENT REFLECTION, AND ROLL CALL.
Present for the meeting were Chairman Paul Ryan, Vice-Chairman Carol Perica and Board
Members John Kovac III, Daniel Halloran, and Nick Sehman. Also present were Robert
Rodgers, Development Services Director, Marissa Moore, Senior Planner, and Paula
Woodward Executive Assistant and recorder of the minutes.

AGENDA ITEM #3 CONSIDERATION OF THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
MEETING MINUTES FOR OCTOBER 20, 2015.
Vice-Chairman Carol Perica made a MOTION to approve the meeting minutes from the
October 20, 2015, Board of Adjustment meeting. Boardmember Kovac III, SECONDED and
the MOTION passed 5-0,by those present.
AGENDA ITEM#4 ADJOURNMENT.
Vice-Chairman Perica made a MOTION to adjourn the meeting and Board Member Kovac
III, SECONDED. The MOTION passed 5-0. The meeting adjourned at 6:35 p.m.
