MINUTES OF A MEETING OF THE
BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
FEBRUARY 17,2015
A public meeting of the Fountain Hills Board of Adjustment was convened and called to order
by Chairman Paul Ryan at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 17, 2015, in the Town Hall Council
Chambers located at 16705 E. Avenue of the Fountains, Fountain Hills, Arizona.
AGENDA ITEM #1 CALL TO ORDER, PLEDGE TO THE FLAG, MOMENT OF
SILENT REFLECTION,AND ROLL CALL.
Present for the meeting were Chairman Paul Ryan, Vice-Chairman Carol Perica and Board
Members John Kovac III, and Nick Sehman. Also present were Development Services
Director Paul Mood and Janice Baxter Executive Assistant and recorder of the minutes. Board
Member Daniel Halloran was not in attendance and notified staff in advance.

AGENDA ITEM #2 CONSIDERATION of the Board of Adjustment meeting minutes for
February 18,2014.
Board Member John Kovac made a MOTION to approve the meeting minutes from the
December 18, 2012, Board of Adjustment meeting. Board Member Carol Perica
SECONDED and the MOTION passed 4-0, by those present.

AGENDA ITEM #2 NOMINATION AND ELECTION of a Chairman and Vice-Chairman
for a one (1)year term.
Paul Mood, Director of Development Services asked for nominations for chairman. Board
Member John Kovac nominated Paul Ryan and Board Member Carol Perica seconded the
nomination. A voice vote was taken and Paul Ryan was appointed chairman of the Board of
Adjustment from February 17, 2015 through February 16, 2016.
Chairman Paul Ryan asked for nominations for vice-chairman. Chairman Paul Ryan
nominated Carol Perica and Board Member John Kovac seconded the nomination. A vote
was taken and Carol Perica was appointed vice-chairman for the Board of Adjustment from
February 17, 2015 thru February 16, 2016
Chairman Paul Ryan thanked the members or the Board for their service to the Town and
stated how well they all worked together.
AGENDA ITEM#4 ADJOURNMENT.
Chairman Paul Ryan made a MOTION to adjourn the meeting and Vice-Chairman Carol
Perica SECONDED. The MOTION passed 4-0. The meeting adjourned at 6:35 p.m.
