AGENDA ITEM#1 —CALL TO ORDER
A public meeting of the Strategic Planning Advisory Commission was convened and called to order by Chair
Dana Saar at 4:04 p.m., Thursday, December 13, 2018 in the Council Chambers at Town Hall, located at 16705
East Avenue of the Fountains, Fountain Hills, Arizona.
AGENDA ITEM#2—ROLL CALL
Present at roll call were Chair Dana Saar, Vice-Chair Peter Bordow, Commissioners Gerard Bisceglia, John W.
Craft, Jr., and John McHugh. Staff members present were Town Manager Grady Miller and Executive Assistant
Nancy Walter.
AGENDA ITEM#3—CALL TO THE PUBLIC
No one spoke at the Call to the Public.
AGENDA ITEM#4—CONSIDERATION OF RE-PRIORITIZING THE 2017 STRATEGIC PLAN
Vice Chair Bordow reviewed the attached updated task priority document. Discussion turned to the State Trust
Land; Mr. Miller noted that the infrastructure is estimated to cost $350,000 to $500,000 per residential unit. With
that information, three Commissioners change their ratings on item #3.1 a; Commissioner Bisceglia 4 to 2,
Commissioner Craft 4 to 3, and Vice Chair Bordow 5 to 3.
The priority document will be reformatted to a Business Plan. SPAC will present the updated Strategic Plan
priorities to Council on February 5t. The Council budget retreat is scheduled for February 7th.
AGENDA ITEM#5—CONSIDERATION OF APPROVING THE 2019 MEETING SCHEDULE
Commissioner McHugh MOVED to approve the attached 2019 meeting schedule; Vice-Chair Bordow
SECONDED the motion, which CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY by those present.
AGENDA ITEM#6—CONSIDERATION OF ADJOURNMENT
Vice Chair Bordow MOVED to adjourn at 4:37 p.m. Commissioner Bisceglia, SECONDED the motion, which
CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY by those present.
