Wflerea,, the Fountain .7fifls Rura(/74etro Fire Department and Naricopa
County Sheriffs Office have dedicated themselves to the protection of life and
property of citizens of the Yawn of Fountain Hills, often at great risk to their
own safety andwetl- being; and
Whereas, the Fountain Hffs RuraflMetro Fire Department and Waricopa
County Sheriff's Office have continuously supported efforts to elevate their
standards and training, and have been instrumental in improving methods of
fire and crime prevention, and
Wfrerear, firefighting andpofice work are among the most hazardous professions
and require extensive training, strength, endurance, courage and a selfless
concern for the safety of the citizens of Fountain Hills, and
Wberea,, the contributions and sacrifices of valiant firefighters and ponce
officers often go unreportedandare inadequately recognizedby thepubfic; and
7rfterea,, the work of firefighters andpolue officers deserves the attention and
gratitude of aff indwiduafs in the Town of Fountain Hulls,
Now, Therefore, I, Jay T. SchCum, Mayor of the Town of Fountain .4fa hereby
proclaim the uth day of February 2012 to be Publu Safety Day in the Town of
Fountain Hills and on behalf of the Toxin Cinuu:X hereby encourage a/Ccitizens
of Fountain Hills to recognize and honor our firefighters andpofice officers for
their efforts to keep our citizens safe.
