WHEREAS, on April 5, 2007, the Town Council adopted a Resolution declaring Ataco

El Salvador a Sister City to the Town of Fountain Hills,
AND WHEREAS, a group of students from Fountain Hills High School will be traveling
to Ataco this coming June to participate in community service projects, including
homebuilding,1"

AND WHEREAS, Mayor Oscar Gomez of Ataco has traveled to Fountain Hills to assist

in preparations for that trip,

AND WHEREAS, the Town Council recognizes and commends the many positive
things that have resulted from this Sister City relationship,

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Jay T. Schlum, Mayor, do hereby proclaim appreciation for the

friendship and partnership between the Town of Fountain Hills and Ataco, El Salvador.
