'WJC'E7ZE2LS, April is designated National Volunteer Month and
giving freely to others is one of the noblest of human enterprises;
and
WHERE-AS, This year marks the 39'" annual celebration of
Volunteer Month, created in 1974 to recognize the efforts of
dedicated community volunteers; and
'WHEREAS, Nationally more than 120 million volunteers
contribute their time and talents daily to make a real difference in
the lives of others; and
'WHERE.AS, More than 800 Fountain Hills volunteers donated their
time to the Town of Fountain Hills by giving approximately 18,000
hours in 2012 to the Community Center, the Activity Center for
Senior and Boomers, and the Municipal Court, as well as
volunteering in the Administration, Development Services, and
Community Services departments at Town Hall.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Linda M. Kavanagh, Mayor of the Town of
Fountain Hills, do hereby proclaim April as Volunteer Month in the
Town of Fountain Hills and hereby express thanks to the many
volunteers who support the Town of Fountain Hills by generously
giving their time and skills to benefit our community.
