PROCLAMATION
OFFICE OF TWE MAYOR
WHEREAS, the Inaugural Chinese Lantern and Folk Festival was held in the Town of
Fountain Hills from January 31 through February 9, 2014, and
WHEREAS, the Town recognizes the Universal Cultural Organization, the Yangzhou
Puppet Troupe Company, Ltd., Yangzhou New Energy Company, Ltd., and Mei's Art &
Cultural Creation Company for their work in making this event a reality in Fountain
Hills, and
WHEREAS, Fountain Hills residents and visitors to our community enjoyed the beauty
and magnitude of the lanterns, learned about lantern making and Chinese culture, and
look forward to the return of the Festival;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Linda M. Kavanagh, Mayor of the Town of Fountain Hills,
hereby proclaim the gratitude of the Town of Fountain Hills to all those involved in
making the Inaugural Chinese Lantem and Folk Festival a success.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused to be affixed the
official seal of the Town of Fountain Hills, Maricopa County, Arizona this 13th day of
February, 2014.
