HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 1990-040 A RESOLUTION NO. 1990 -9 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF FOUNTAIN HILLS, ARIZONA, PROVIDING FOR PETITIONS, REMONSTRANCES, COMMUNICATIONS AND COMMENTS OR SUGGESTIONS FROM CITIZENS PRESENT AT ALL TOWN COUNCIL MEETINGS; MAKING SAID PROVISION A PART OF THE TOWN CODE. HE IT RESOLVED, by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Fountain Hills, Arizona, as follows: Section 1. Providing for Petitions, Etc. Petitions, remonstrances, communications and comments or suggestions from citizens present at town council meetings shall be heard by the council. All such remarks shall be addressed to the council as a whole, and not to any member thereof. Such remarks shall be limited to three minutes, unless additional time is granted by the council. No person other than the individual speaking shall enter into the discussion without the permission of the presiding officer. No question shall be asked a councilman except through the presiding officer. Petitions and comments will be solicited by the presiding officer following each agenda item. In addition, the presiding officer will make a call to the public before the meeting is adjourned. Section 2. Making Provision a Part of the Town Code The adoption of this resolution makes the above provision a part of the Town Code of Fountain Hills.
