A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL
OF THE TOWN OF FOUNTAIN HILLS, AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND TOWN CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
AGREEMENT WITH THE ARIZONA GOVERNOR'S OFFICE
OF HIGHWAY SAFETY PROVIDING FOR A GRANT TO THE
TOWN FOR REGULATORY AND STREET NAME SIGNS.
WHEREAS, the Town of Fountain Hills has been notified by the
Governor's Office of Highway Safety that $25,000.00 will be
provided to the Town for the upgrading of regulatory and street
name signs, and;
WHEREAS, the Town of Fountain Hills wishes to take full
advantage of this opportunity and obtain these funds for the Town;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Common
Council hereby authorize the submittal of an application to the
Governor's Office of Highway Safety to secure $25,000.00 in grant
funds, and that the Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to enter
into an appropriate grant agreement so as to formally obtain these
grant funds for the Town.
