RESOLUTION NO. 1990 -32
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF FOUNTAIN
HILLS, ARIZONA, ENDORSING THE PARTICIPATION OF THE FOUNTAIN HILLS
CHAMBER OF COMMERCE IN THE GREATER PHOENIX ECONOMIC COUNCIL.
WHEREAS, the quality of life that all citizens enjoy in the "Valley of the
Sun's is impacted by the health of the economy in the Greater Phoenix area; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable to strengthen and diversify the regions economy
for the betterment of all citizens; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Fountain Hills agrees with the need to promote the
Town of Fountain Hills and the County of Maricopa as desirable locations for
business and light industry; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Fountain Hills recognizes the need to expand the tax
base for the Town of Fountain Hills in order to preserve and enhance the quality
of life currently enjoyed within the region and the County of Maricopa; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Fountain Hills understands the need to create quality,
permanent jobs within the Town of Fountain Hills and the County of Maricopa; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Fountain Hills recognizes the need to present a
unified business message to corporate executives in the U.S. and around the
world; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Fountain Hills recognizes the need to maximize the
limited public and private resources available for promotion and economic
development in Maricopa County; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Fountain Hills wishes to join with other cities and
towns in Maricopa County to coordinate their economic development efforts with
a strong regional program promoting the entire metropolitan Phoenix area; and
WEREAS, the Fountain Hills Chamber of Commerce desires to establish and
implement strategies and programs to promote economic development and growth
within the Town of Fountain Hills;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE TOWN
OF FOUNTAIN HILLS, ARIZONA, as follows:
SECTION 1. That the Town of Fountain Hills recognizes the Greater Phoenix
Economic Council as the official agency for marketing, advertising and otherwise
promoting economic development within the County of Maricopa for the purpose of
recruiting new business and industry, and endorses the Fountain Hills Chamber of
Resolution 1990 -32

Commerce in its plan to coordinate its economic development efforts with the
Greater Phoenix Economic Council.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 1st day of November, 1990, by the Mayor and Common
Council of the Town of Fountain Hills, Arizona.
