A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE TOWN
OF FOUNTAIN HILLS, ARIZONA, ENDORSING THE PARTICIPATION
OF THE TOWN OF FOUNTAIN HILLS IN THE REGIONAL PUBLIC
TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY'S VAN POOL.
WHEREAS, the Regional Public Transportation Authority sponsors
a van pool; and
WHEREAS, many Fountain Hills residents who commute to the
Greater Phoenix Valley may be interested in van pooling to their
respective places of employment; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Fountain Hills Town Council wishes to
encourage any reasonable program that reduces traffic on Shea
Boulevard and the Beeline Highway; and
WHEREAS, the Regional Public Transportation Authority could
significantly reduce transportation costs for Fountain Hills
residents; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council is also desirous of reducing the
amount of automobile pollution in the Greater Phoenix Valley;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Fountain
Hills Town Council endorse the Regional Public Transportation
Authority Program and encourage all interested Fountain Hills
residents to participate in this excellent program.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of August, 1991.
