RESOLUTION 1995-46
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF
THE TOWN OF FOUNTAIN HILLS,ARIZONA,ADOPTING THE
SUNRIDGE CANYON PEDESTRIAN SIDEWALK & TRAIL SYSTEM
LAND PLAN
WHEREAS,The Town Council of the Town of Fountain Hills is the governing body of the
Town;and,
WHEREAS,Section 2.22 of The Sunridge Canyon Area Specific Plan requires the
provision of sidewalks and a Bike/Pedestrian Pathway System within the
Sunridge Canyon development;and,
WHEREAS,Section 2.36 of The Sunridge Canyon Area Specific Plan requires the
provision of a pathway system within the Sunridge Canyon development;
and,
WHEREAS,Both the Town of Fountain Hills Planning and Zoning Commission and the
Fountain Hills Town Council have reviewed the proposed Sunridge Canyon
Pedestrian Sidewalk &Trail System Land Plan;
NOW THEREFORE,be it resolved by the Mayor and Common Council of the Town of
Fountain Hills,Arizona,as follows:
SECTION 1.The Town Council of the Townof Fountain Hills adopts the Sunridge Canyon
Pedestrian Sidewalk &Trail System Land Plan,as shown in Attachment "A",
as the Town's pedestrian sidewalk and trail system plan within the Sunridge
Canyon development,with the following revisions:
1.Change the sidewalk along the main street in Parcel E from the
southerly to the northerly side of the road to be on the same side as
the cul-de-sac and bubble.
2.Add a sidewalk along the west side of Golden Eagle Boulevard
between Desert Canyon Drive and Parcel A.

3. The trail leading west out of Parcel M and the trail from Parcel D
leading to Sierra Madre Drive shall be eight feet wide and be
surfaced with decomposed granite,and that all other trails shall be
a minimum of five-feet wide with decomposed granite.
4.All sidewalks planned along Golden Eagle Boulevard,Palisades
Boulevard,Sunridge Drive and Desert Canyon Drive shall be six feet
wide.All other sidewalks shall be a minimum of four feet wide.
SECTION 2.That any deviations from the Sunridge Canyon Pedestrian Sidewalk &Trail
System Land Plan shall be held to be in substantial conformance with the
Plan,as determined by the Town Council.
SECTION 3.That any sidewalks or trails shown to be located within or adjacent to a
particular subdivision within the development shall be constructed with the
subdivision Improvements for that subdivision.
