PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, Christ's Church of Fountain Hills was founded on May 4, 1984, and
WHEREAS, twenty -two Fountain Hills citizens were the original Founding Members of Christ's
Church, and
WHEREAS, Reverend Don Lawrence was the founding Pastor and continues to serve as the
Pastor of Christ's Church, and
WHEREAS, the church first met in Suite I of the Enterprise Plaza, and
WHEREAS, the church is now located on five and one -half acres at the corner of Bainbridge
and Fountain Hills Boulevards and has built two large facilities, including a 400 -seat
sanctuary, and
WHEREAS, the church has sent missions teams to Africa, Peru, The Dominican Republic,
Mexico, Austria, Alaska, and the Navajo and Apache Reservations, and
WHEREAS, the church has been involved in the Paz de Cristo soup kitchen, Extended Hands
Food Bank, women's shelters, inner city churches, youth and children's camps, and several
other church and para- church organizations, and
WHEREAS, the church offers vibrant children and youth programs, as well as active senior
adults programs and activities, and
WHEREAS, Christ's Church is a non - denominational Christian Church, and
WHEREAS, Christ's Church is a Bible- based, Bible - believing, Bible- preaching and teaching
church,and
WHEREAS, the church offers a dynamic contemporary worship experience every Sunday,
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Linda M. Kavanagh, Mayor of the Town of Fountain Hills, Arizona,
hereby recognize May 4, 2014 as the 30th Anniversary of Christ's Church in Fountain Hills
and proclaim the good words of the church to be beneficial to the congregation and to the
community.
