A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
FOUNTAIN HILLS,MARICOPA COUNTY,ARIZONA,DECLARING AND
ADOPTING THE RESULTS OF THE PRIMARY ELECTION HELD ON MARCH
8,1994;AND ORDERING THE RECORDING OF SUCH RESOLUTION.
WHEREAS, the Town Council of Fountain Hills, Maricopa County, Arizona by Resolution No.
1993-36,adopted on the 4th day of November,1993,did cause to be submitted to the qualified electors
of the town at a primary electioncalledandheldin andfor the Townon the 8th day of March,1994for
the nomination and/or possible electionof threeTown Councilmembers and Mayor,and
WHEREAS,the Town Councildid cause noticeof the primaryelection to be given by theTown
Clerk publishing notice thereofin the Times newspaper as provided by law, such newspaper published
in andhavinggeneral circulation withinsaid town,whichsaidnoticeas so published didspecifythetime
and place whereat such election was to be held, copy of said notice with the affidavit of publication
attached thereto,being now on file and a part of the official records of the Town Council of said town,
and
WHEREAS, the election returns have been presented to and have been canvassed by the Town
Council.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Fountain
Hills,Maricopa County,Arizona, as follows:
SECTION 1.That the total numberof ballotscast at saidprimary election, as shown by the poll
lists,was 3,015.
SECTION 2.That the number of questioned ballots was 25, the number of challenged ballots
was 0 and that voters found to be ineligible were 0.
SECTION 3.That the votes cast for the candidates for mayor were as follows:

SECTION 5.That is hereby found,determined and declared of record, that the following 1
candidate did receive more than one-half of the total number of valid votes cast and is hereby issued a
certificate of election:

SECTION 6.That is hereby found,determined and declared of record, that the following 2
candidates for mayor and 4 candidates for councilmember did receive the next greatest number of votes
of the electors of the town voting at said election and shall have their names placed on the general
municipal election ballot of the Town of Fountain Hills,Maricopa County,Arizona,to be held on the 17th
day of May,1994, and are hereby issued certificates of nomination.

PASSED AND ADOPTED BY the Mayor and Council of the Town of Fountain Hills, Arizona,
this 17th day of March,1994.
