RESOLUTION NO.1995-72
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
FOUNTAIN HILLS,ARIZONA,DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO
ANNEX CERTAIN PROPERTY INTO THE CORPORATE BOUNDARIES
OF FOUNTAIN HILLS.
WHEREAS,itis appropriate fortheTown Council todeclareits intentions to annex
property intoits corporate boundaries;and
WHEREAS,thepassageofthis resolution would facilitate the installation ofa traffic
signalatthecornerofSaguaroandPalisadesBoulevards;and
WHEREAS,theTownCouncilwishestoactinanexpeditiousmannertoinsurethe
safetyofthemotoringpublicwithinTownlimits;and
NOW,THEREFORE,BEIt RESOLVED,thattheMayorandTownCouncilofthe
TownofFountainHillsstatesthatitisspecificallywillingtoannextheterritoryshownon
"ExhibitA"tothisresolutionintothecorporateboundariesofFountainHills;andwouldurge
MaricopaCountytoexpediteitsapprovalofthistrafficsignalinstallation;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,thatthe Mayor and Town Council of theTownof
Fountain Hills understand thatthis resolution doesnot meet thelegal requirements forthe
annexationofsaidpropertyasdefinedinArizonaStatelaw,butthatthisresolutionagaindeclares
theCouncil'sintenttocomplywiththeprovisionsofStatelawwhenitislegallyappropriateto
do so.
