A RESOLUTION ADOPTING AN AMENDMENT TO THE FOUNTAIN HILLS
GENERAL PLAN,IN THE AREA KNOWN AS "HOTEL HILL"IN THE
LAKESIDE VILLAGE AREA;AN APPROXIMATE 33 ACRE AREA,FROM A
FUTURE LAND USE MAP DESIGNATION OF "LODGING"TO A
DESIGNATION OF "SINGLE-FAMILY/MEDIUM".
WHEREAS,TheTownCounciloftheTownofFountainHillsapprovedResolution #1993-15,
which adopted The FountainHillsGeneralPlan onMay6,1993;and
WHEREAS,The Fountain Hills General Plan containsaFutureLandUseMapdesignating
areaswheretheTowndesireshavecertaintypesof development takeplace;and
WHEREAS,The"HotelHill"areainthe Lakeside Villagearea located eastofSaguaro
Boulevard,south of La Montana Drive and its eastward extension to the Vista del
Lagonorthern extension,northofthe Fountainhead Condominium Complex and
Panorama Drive,westofthe Vista del Lago northern extension intersecting the
LaMontana Driveeastern extension,is designated for"Lodging"development;and
WHEREAS,Theareatothenorthandeastof"HotelHill"is designated for"Single-
Family/Medium"development andthe area south is designated for "Multi-
Family/Medium"development;and
WHEREAS,The lodging development cantake place inthe "Commercial"and "Mixed-Use"
areas of Town;and
WHEREAS,The Town of Fountain Hills desires to encourage more single-family development
inthe Lakeside Village area;
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the Town Council of the Town of Fountain
Hills,amends TheFountain Hills General Plan by redesignating the "Lodging"
area in Hotel Hill area of the Lakeside Village,to "Single-Family/Medium".
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY the Mayor and Common Council of the Town of Fountain Hills,
Arizona,this fourth dayof.August,1997.
