A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF FOUNTAIN HILLS,ARIZONA,DESIGNATING THE ARTS
COUNCIL OF THE FOUNTAIN HILLS CIVIC ASSOCIATION AS THE
AUTHORIZED AGENCY OF THE TOWN ON DEVELOPMENT AND
PROMOTION OF PUBLIC ARTS WITHIN THE TOWN OF FOUNTAIN
fflLLS AND SETTING FORTH THEm DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON
COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF FOUNTAIN HILLS,ARIZONA,AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.Thatthepromotion of publicartinallformswithintheTown of FountainHillsis of
value totheTownandits residents and promotes and encourages the public health,safetyand welfare
of the Town.
Section 2.Thattherealreadyexistsasanarm of theFountainHillsCivic Association knownas
theFountain Hills Arts Council andthat Council is hereby designated bytheTownasthe official
L representative oftheTownin all matters dealing withStateand Federal art agencies totheextentthat
the matters relatetothe promotion of publicartswithinthe Town of Fountain Hills.
Section 3.ThattheArtsCouncilisauthorizedanddirectedtomakeapplicationforgrantsand
participationinprogramswhichwillenhanceandpromotepublicartwithintheTown.
Section4.ThattheArts Council may request from theTown Council thattheTownparticipate
inprojectsandingrantrequestswith contributions of eithercashorkindandthatsaid contributions
mustbe approved bythe Town Council.
Section5.ThattheArts Council mayacceptcontributionsanddonationson behalf of theTown
andthatsaidcontributionsordonationsshallbeaccountedforannuallytotheTown.
Section6.ThattheArtsCouncilperiodicallyreportitsprogressanditsplanstotheTown
Councilata regular orspecialmeeting of the Town Council.
