RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF FOUNTAIN HILLS
APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR LOCAL,REGIONAL AND STATE PARKS FUNDS
FOUNTAIN PARK PHASE II
WHEREAS,the Legislature under A.R.S §41-503 has authorized the establishment of the
Local,RegionalandStateparks program,providing fundstotheStateof Arizona andothereligible
applicantsforacquiringlandsanddevelopingfacilitiesforpublicoutdoorrecreationpurposes;and
WHEREAS,Arizona State Parks Board (BOARD)is responsible forthe administration of
theprogramwithintheState,settingup necessary rulesand procedures governing applicationby
stateand local agencies under the program;and
WHEREAS,said adopted procedures established bythe BOARD require the applicant to
certifyby resolution the approval of applications,signature authorization,the availability oflocal
matching funds,and authorization tosigna Participant Agreement withthe BOARD prior to
submission of said applications tothe BOARD;and
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE TOWN OF FOUNTAIN HILLS
hereby:
1.Approves thefiling of an application for Local,Regional and State Parksgrant
assistance;and
2.Certifies that the application is consistent and compatible with all adopted plans and
programsoftheTownof Fountain Hillsfor outdoor recreation improvements;and
3.Agreestocomplywithall appropriate procedures,guidelines,and requirements
established bythe BOARD aspartofthe application process;and
4.Certifies thatthe Town of Fountain Hillswill comply withall appropriate stateand
federal regulations,policies,guidelines and requirements astheyrelatetothe
application;and
5.CertifiesthattheTownofFountainHillshasmatchingfundsintheamountof $700,000
from the following source(s)M.C.O.Properties,Inc.,Town of Fountain Hills General
Fund,and Fountain Hills Civic Organizations;and
6.AppointstheFountainHillsDirectorofParksandRecreationasagentoftheTownof
Fountain Hillsto conduct all negotiations,execute and submit all documents including,
butnotlimitedto,applications,agreements,amendments,billing statements andsoon
whichmaybe necessary forthe completion ofthe aforementioned project.
