RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF FOUNTAIN HILLS
APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR LOCAL,REGIONAL AND STATE PARKS
FUNDS
FOUR PEAKS NEIGHBORHOOD PARK PHASE II
WHEREAS,the Legislature under A.R.S §41-503 hasauthorizedthe establishment of
theLocal,Regionaland State parksprogram,providingfundstothe State ofArizonaand other
eligibleapplicantsforacquiringlandsanddevelopingfacilitiesforpublicoutdoorrecreation
purposes;and
WHEREAS,Arizona State ParksBoard(BOARD)isresponsiblefortheadministration
ofthe program withintheState,settingup necessary rulesand procedures governing application
bystateandlocalagenciesundertheprogram;and
WHEREAS,saidadopted procedures established bytheBOARD require theapplicantto
certify byresolutiontheapprovalofapplications,signatureauthorization,theavailabilityoflocal
matching funds,andauthorizationtosignaParticipantAgreementwiththeBOARDpriorto
submission ofsaidapplicationstotheBOARD;and
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE TOWN OF FOUNTAIN HILLS
hereby:
1.ApprovesthefilingofanapplicationforLocal,RegionalandStateParksgrantassistance;and
2.Certifiesthattheapplicationisconsistentandcompatiblewithalladoptedplansandprograms
oftheTownofFountainHillsforoutdoorrecreation improvements;and
3.Agreestocomplywithallappropriateprocedures,guidelines,andrequirementsestablishedby
the BOARD aspartofthe application process;and
4.CertifiesthattheTownofFountainHillswillcomplywithallappropriatestateandfederal
regulations,policies,guidelinesandrequirementsastheyrelatetotheapplication;and
5.CertifiesthattheTownofFountainHillshasmatchingfundsintheamountof $560,000 from
the following source(s)Town of Fountain Hills General Fund;and
6.Appointsthe Fountain Hills Deputy Director of Recreation asagentoftheTownofFountain
Hillsto conduct all negotiations,execute and submit all documents including,butnotlimitedto,
applications,agreements,amendments,billing statements andsoon which maybe necessary for
the completion of the aforementioned project.
