RESOLUTION 2003-05
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
FOUNTAIN HILLS,ARIZONA,APPROVING REVISIONS TO THE
COMMUNITY CENTER FEE SCHEDULE.
WHEREAS,the Mayor andCouncilofthe Town of Fountain Hills(the "Town
Council")has determined that itisinthe best interest of the citizens of the Town of Fountain
Hills (the "Town")to revise the Community Center fee schedule;and
WHEREAS,the Town Council desires to make the Community Center more self-
sustaining by reducing the Community Center's reliance onthe general fundto cover the annual
operational shortfall;and
WHEREAS,the current fee schedule doesnot reflect market rates of comparable
facilities inthe greater Phoenix metropolitan area;and
WHEREAS,the Town Council desires to continue making adjustments tothe
Community Center's ratesto reflect trendsinmarketratesandto cover operational costs.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE TOWN OF FOUNTAIN HILLS,ARIZONA as follows:
SECTION 1.That the "Appendix 1-Fees of the Operations and Procedures Manual for
the Community Center"is hereby adopted intheform attached heretoas Exhibit Aand
incorporated hereinby reference.
SECTION 2.That thefeeswillbe reviewed onan annually in preparation forthe annual
budgetforthefacility,andany associated adjustments willbe made during thebudgetprocess.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY the Mayor and Common Council of the Town of
Fountain Hills,Arizona,March 20,2003.

APPENDIX I -COMMUNITY CENTER FEE SCHEDULE
Rental fees include set-up,tables,chairs,podium,one wired microphone,staging,removal and normal clean up.
Rooms requiring extraordinarycleaning will be billed at therateof$25/hour.

*For normal business hours orwhen building is occupied forotherevents,otherwiseperhourrate.
"The 8 hours ballroom rental includes setup time,event time andcleanup time.Required time for setup
must be coordinated with and approved bytheCenter.The Center will try to schedule these timesat no
additional charge totheLicensee,however there may be a fee depending onthe schedule.
Kitchen Usage Fee:
There will be a $25 minimum fee if kitchen is not cleaned and trash removed.
Groups Meeting 5orMore Times per Year:$60/ballroom per meeting
Concessions:All services and sales belong to the Center unless otherwise negotiated.

NOTE:Non-profit groups mayrequest rental rate adjustments for extenuating special circumstances by applying in
writing totheDirector and Commissionnolessthantwo weeks priortothe requested date.
For Community Service Groups,Town Memorials,Town sponsoredeventsor no-fee communityserviceevents
(examples:theBlood Drive,Town Hall Meetings,Parks andRecreationsponsored activities)rentalcharges will be
waivedsubjecttoapprovalofthe Director or designee forreasonable requests.(8/2/01CouncilMeeting,Amended,
