RESOLUTION NO.2002-16
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
FOUNTAIN HILLS,ARIZONA,DESIGNATING THE ELECTION DATE
OF SEPTEMBER 10,2002 FOR THE PURPOSE OF THE ADOPTION OF
THE FOUNTAIN HILLS GENERAL PLAN 2002 PURSUANT TO ARS 9-
461.06;AND DESIGNATING THE DEADLINE FOR VOTER
REGISTRATION.
BE IT RESOLVED,bythe Mayor and Common Council of the Town of Fountain Hills,
Arizona,as follows:
Section 1.Designation of Election Date;Purposes
That,the State of Arizona Growing Smarter legislation,ARS §9-461.05 &6,requires cities
andtowntoupdateandrevise their GeneralPlansandobtain voter approval.The Town of
Fountain FlillsGeneralPlan 2002 fulfillsthis statutory requirement andalsounitesandsupportsthe
community witha focused and comprehensive vision for guiding community growth and
development.Tuesday,September 10,2002hasbeensetasthe time for holding aSpecial Election
inthe Town of Fountain Hills forthe purpose of approving the General Plan as required bylaw.
Section 2.Designating Deadline for Voter Registration
County registration andvotinglistswillbeusedforthe Special Election.Inordertobe
qualified tovoteatthe Special Election,individuals mustbe registered by August 12,2002.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Fountain Hills,
Arizona,this16thdayofMay,2002.
