RESOLUTION 2002-21
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF FOUNTAIN HILLS,MARICOPA COUNTY,
ARIZONA,DECLARING AND ADOPTING THE RESULTS OF
THE GENERAL ELECTION HELD ON MAY 21,2002.
WHEREAS,theTownofFountainHills,Maricopa County,Arizonadidholdageneral
election on the 21st day of May,2002 for the election of one councilmember and for the purpose of
votingonProposition400,a resolution adjusting theTownof Fountain Hills "base limit"pursuant
toArticle9,Section20,Paragraph 6,Constitution of Arizona,and Proposition 401,a resolution
submittingtothequalifiedelectorsoftheTownofFountainHills,Arizona,thequestionof
authorizing theTowntolevy primary property taxes;and
WHEREAS,the election returns havebeen presented toandhavebeen canvassed bythe
Town Council.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED bythe Mayor and Council of theTownof
FountainHills,Maricopa County,Arizona,asfollows:
SECTION 1.That thetotal number of ballots castatsaidgeneral election,asshownbythe
polllists,was3,793.
SECTION 2.That the number ofballotstobeverifiedwas 53,the number of challenged
ballotswas 0 andthatvoters found tobe ineligible were 9.
SECTION 3.That the votes cast for the candidates for councilmember were as follows:

SECTION 5.That itis hereby found,determined and declared of record,thatthe
following candidate didreceivethegreatest number ofvotesoftheelectorsofthetownatsaid
election andis hereby issued a certificate of election:

SECTION 6.This resolution shallbeinfullforceand effect immediately uponits
adoption.
