A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF FOUNTAIN
HILLS, ARIZONA, APPROVING A STREET NAME CHANGE FOR THE ONLY
STREET LYING WITHIN THE LAS MONTANAS DEL SOL SUBDIVISION, FROM
WHEREAS, MJFFH3, LLC (the "Owner ") recently purchased all seven of the currently vacant
lots on Los Siete Court within the Las Montanus del Sol subdivision; and
WHEREAS, the Owner requested to change the street name of Los Siete Court to Los Saguaros
Court; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council of the Town of Fountain Hills have determined it is
appropriate and proper to change the name of Los Siete Court to Los Saguaros Court; and
WHEREAS, the requested street renaming meets the criteria of the Town of Fountain Hills
Municipal Sponsorship and Naming Rights Policy, Amended and Restated August 7, 2014, as follows:
(i) avoids duplication or confusing similarity; (ii) follows geographic location, historical or cultural
significance and natural features; (iii) does not apply to a deceased individual name; (iv) is not similar in
spelling or pronunciation to presently- existing streets in the Phoenix Metropolitan area (the "Metro
Area "); (v) follows sequential, numerical and alphabetical naming patterns; (vi) does not contain a
homonym; (vii) is not a name already well -known in the Metro Area; (viii) no buildings exist along the
street; (ix) the new name is not easily confused with other existing street names in the Town of Fountain
Hills; (x) is not the name of a specific living person within the Metro Area; and (xi) does not violate
historical or common usage names.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF FOUNTAIN HILLS as follows:
SECTION 1. The recitals above are hereby incorporated as if fully set forth herein.
SECTION 2. Los Siete Court is hereby renamed to Los Saguaros Court.
SECTION 3. The Mayor, the Town Manager, the Town Clerk and the Town Attorney are hereby
authorized and directed to execute all documents and take all steps necessary to carry out the purpose and
intent of this Resolution.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Fountain Hills,
April 16, 2015.
