'Whereas,Jackie and Jerry MiCes are recognizedfor their tireCess efforts to heCp
fountain 3-CiCCs grow and their personal professional and financiaC
contributions are evidencedin afrnost every facet ofour community;and
IVhereas,the incubation of the fountain JJiCCs Community Center pCan began
during Mayor Jerry MiCes'term,he initiated the major fund-raiser that
furnished the "River of Time Museum and deveCoped and continues to be centraC
to the River of Time Museum foundation;and
IVhereas,The fountain 3-CiCCs Sister Cities program was estabdshed during
Mayor Jerry MiCes'term;Jackie MiCes has served on the Sister Cities Committee
and is the current Tresident;and
IVhereas,fireRock,"EagCe Mountain,and the CopperlVynd deveCopments were
put into pCace,The JCiCCside Trotection Ordinance,the temporary sign ordinance,
anda bedtax were approved during Mayor Jerry MiCes'term;and
IVhereas,fountain Tark and the SAvenue of the fountains median were
acquiredfrom MCO by the Townduring Mayor Jerry MiCes'term;and
IVhereas,The fountain JCiCCs TubCic JArt coCCection is named "MiCestones:JA
"Desert Odyssey through TubCic JArt"to honor itsfounders, Jackie andJerry;and
IWhereas,Jackie MiCes served on the Senior Services "Board,the Community
Center ^Advisory Commission,and initiated the in-home concertsprogram;and
"Whereas,Jackie MiCes was the drivingforce for the Town's hoCiday Cighting
program and the annua Cpoinsettia tree dispCay;
