A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF FOUNTAIN HILLS, MARICOPA COUNTY,
ARIZONA, SELECTING FROM AMONG THE ELECTED OFFICIALS OF THE TOWN OF
FOUNTAIN HILLS A MEMBER OF THE GOVERNING BOARD OF THE REGIONAL PUBLIC
TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY IN MARICOPA COUNTY.
WHEREAS, Title 48, Chapter 29, Section 48-5102, Arizona Revised Statutes, et seq.
provides for the creation of Countywide Regional Public Transportation Authority; and
WHEREAS, the Town wishes to join the Regional Public Transportation Authority and
pursuant to Title 48, Chapter 29, Section 48-5104 has adopted an ordinance declaring its
participation and authorizing the Town Council to select one of its members to serve on the
governing board of the Regional Public Transportation Authority; and
WHEREAS, Title 48, Chapter 29, Section 48-5105 provides for the appointment by the
municipality of a governing board member to be selected from the elected officials of the
municipality.
NOW THERFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF FOUNTAIN HILLS:
That Linda M. Kavanagh, Mayor of the Town of Fountain Hills, be, and is hereby appointed to
the Board of Directors of the Regional Public Transportation Authority as the board member,
may, in her stead, appoint a member of the Fountain Hills Town Council as her designee to
serve on the Board of Directors.
