AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF FOUNTAIN HILLS, MARICOPA COUNTY,
ARIZONA DECLARING THE INTENT OF FOUNTAIN HILLS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE
REGIONAL PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY IN MARICOPA COUNTY.
WHEREAS, Title 48, Chapter 29, Section 48-5102, Arizona Revised Statutes, et seq.,
provides for the creation of a countywide Regional Public Transportation Authority; and
WHEREAS, Title 48, Chapter 29, Section 48-5104 provides that a municipality may elect to
participate by adopting an ordinance declaring such participation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF FOUNTAIN
HILLS, MARICOPA COUNTY, ARIZONA, as follows:
SECTION 1. That the Town of Fountain Hills, Maricopa County, Arizona, hereby declares
its intent to participate in the Regional Public Transportation Authority of Maricopa County.
SECTION 2. That the Fountain Hills Council be, and is hereby, authorized to select by
resolution a governing board member from among the elected officials of the Municipality.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Mayor and Council of Fountain Hills, Arizona, this
day of 2017.
