AN ORDINANCE OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF FOUNTAIN HILLS, ARIZONA, AMENDING THE TOWN CODE,
CHAPTER 14, FLOOD DAMAGE PREVENTION, ARTICLE 14-3 GENERAL
PROVISIONS, SECTION 14-3-2, ESTABLISHMENT OF SPECIAL FLOOD
HAZARD AREAS, BY CORRECTING REFERENCES TO DOCUMENTS ON
I= AT TOWN HALL.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF FOUNTAIN HILLS, ARIZONA AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 14. That the Town Code Chapter 14 Flood Damage Prevention,
Article 3 General Provisions, Section 14-3-2, Establishment of Special Flood Hazard Areas is
hereby amended to read as follows:
The areas of special flood hazard identified by the Federal
Insurance Administration in a scientific and engineering report
entitled "The Flood Insurance Study for Maricopa County, Arizona
and Incorporated Areas", latest version, with accompanying Flood
Insurance Rate Maps is hereby adopted by reference and declared
® to be a part of this chapter. The Flood Insurance Study is the
minimum area of applicability of this chapter and may be
supplemented by studies for other areas which allow
implementation of this chapter and which are recommended to the
floodplain board by the floodplain administrator.
