AN ORDINANCE OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL
OF THE TOWN - OF FOUNTAIN HILLS, ARIZONA,
AUTHORIZING CHANGE OF THE MAXIMUM SPEED LIMITS
ON FOUNTAIN HILLS BOULEVARD FROM ITS
INTERSECTION AT SHEA TO ITS INTERSECTION AT
PALISADES IN ACCORDANCE WITH TOWN CODE
CHAPTER 12 TRAFFIC, ARTICLE 12-2 TRAFFIC CONTROL,
SECTION 12-2-2 TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES AND A.R.S.
§ 28-703.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE TOWN
OF FOUNTAIN HILLS, ARIZONA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That pursuant to Town Code Section 12-2-2 and A. R.S. § 28-703, the
Town Council has determined on the basis of engineering and traffic investigation that the
maximum speed permitted on Fountain Hills Boulevard beginning at its intersection with
Shea and continuing north to its intersection with Palisades can be declared to be reason-
able and safe at speeds in excess of 25 miles per hour.
Section 2. That the maximum speed limit for Fountain Hills Boulevard from Shea
to a point 300 feet north of Kingstree shall be 35 miles per hour.
