HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 1995-01ATTEST: 0 A AAA'� ' Town Clerk APP MOVED AS TO FOR(M� Town Attorney ORDINANCE NO. 95-01 AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF FOUNTAIN HILLS, ARIZONA, RELATING TO THE PRIVILEGE LICENSE TAX; ADOPTING'THE TOWN TAX CODE OF THE TOWN OF FOUNTAIN HILLS, ARIZONA* BY REFERENCE AND FIXING THE EFFECTIVE DATE; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND ESTABLISHING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BYTHE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF FOUNTAIN HILLS, ARIZONA: Section 1: That certain document known as 'The Town Tax Code of the Town of Fountain Hills, Arizona," three copies of which are on file in the office of the town clerk of.the To of Fountain Hills, Arizona, which document was made a public record by Resolution Noy S-Cif the Town of Fountain Hills, Arizona, is hereby referred to, adopted and made a part hereof as if fully set out In this ordinance. Section 2: The provisions of this ordinance and the tax code adopted pursuant to this ordinance shall become effective from and after April 30, 1995, provided however, the tax imposed pursuant to thereto shall not apply to contracts entered into prior to the effective date as provided in this section of this ordinance. Section 3: If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion of this ordinance or any part of the code adopted herein by reference is for any reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional by the decision of any court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions thereof. Section 4: Any person found guilty of violating any provision of this code shall be guilty of a class one misdemeanor punishable by a maximum fine of two thousand five hundred dollars or Imprisonment for no more than six months. Each day that a violation continues shall be a separate offense punishable as herein above described.
