FOUNTAIN HILLS TOWN COUNCIL
OCTOBER 16, 2018
MINUTES
1. CALL TO ORDER— Mayor Linda M. Kavanagh
Mayor Kavanagh called the Special Meeting of October 16, 2018, to order at 4:32 p.m. in
the Fountain Conference Room.
2. ROLL CALL — Mayor Linda M. Kavanagh
COUNCILMEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Linda Kavanagh, Vice Mayor Art Tolis;
Councilmembers Henry Leger and Alan Magazine.
COUNCILMEMBERS ABSENT: Councilmembers Dennis Brown and Nick DePorter.
STAFF PRESENT: Town Manager Grady E. Miller; Town Attorney Aaron D. Arnson; and
Town Clerk Elizabeth A. Burke.
3. VOTE TO GO INTO EXECUTIVE SESSION
Councilmember Leger MOVED to recess into Executive Session; SECONDED by
Councilmember Magazine; passed unanimously.
The Fountain Hills Town Council recessed into Executive Session at 4:32 p.m.
4. EXECUTIVE SESSION:
Discussion or consultation for legal advice with the attorney or attorneys of the public
body; and discussion or consultation with the attorneys of the public body in order to
consider its position and instruct its attorneys regarding the public body's position
regarding contracts that are the subject of negotiations, in pending or contemplated
litigation or in settlement discussions conducted in order to avoid or resolve litigation,
pursuant to A.R.S. §§38-431.03(A)(3) and (4), respectively.

5. ADJOURNMENT
The Fountain Hills Town Council reconvened into Open Session at 4:52 p.m. at which
time the Special Meeting of October 16, 2018, was adjourned.
