SPECIAL MEETING OF DECEMBER 18, 2018
MINUTES
1. CALL TO ORDER- Mayor Ginny Dickey
Mayor Dickey called the Special Meeting of December 18, 2018, to order at 4:00 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL- Mayor Ginny Dickey
PRESENT: Mayor Ginny Dickey, Vice Mayor Art Tolis, Councilmembers Mike Scharnow,
Dennis Brown, Sherry Leckrone, Alan Magazine, and David Spelich.
ABSENT: None
OTHERS PRESENT: Town Manager Grady Miller, Town Attorney Aaron D. Arnson; Finance
Director Craig Rudolphy; and Town Clerk Elizabeth A. Burke.
3. VOTE TO GO INTO EXECUTIVE SESSION
Councilmember Brown MOVED and Councilmember Magazine SECONDED to recess into
Executive Session; passed unanimously.
The Fountain Hills Town Council recessed into Executive Session at 4:00 p.m.
A. Discussion or consultation with the attorneys of the public body in order to consider
its position and instruct its attorneys regarding the public body's position regarding
contracts that are the subject of negotiations, in pending or contemplated litigation or
in settlement discussions conducted in order to avoid or resolve litigation, pursuant to
A.R.S. 38-431.03(A)(4).
i. Contract Negotiations with Republic Services for Solid Waste Collection
Services
ii. Contract Negotiations regarding Special Warranty Deed for the Theater
property.
4. ADJOURNMENT
The Fountain Hills Town Council reconvened into Open Session at 4:48 p.m. at which time
the Special Meeting was adjourned.
