MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL SESSION OF THE
FOUNTAIN HILLS TOWN COUNCIL
MAY 28, 1996
A public meeting of the Fountain Hills Town Council was convened and called to order by Mayor Cutillo at 8:30
A.M., Tuesday, May 28, 1996, in the Fountain Hills Town Hall Conference Room, located at 16836 E. Palisades
Blvd., Building C, Fountain Hills. Arizona.
ROLL CALL - Following the pledge to the flag and the invocation by Councilman Lawrence, roll call was taken.
Present for roll call were the following members of the Fountain Hills Town Council: Mayor John Cutillo, Vice
Mayor Peg Tibbetts and Councilmembers Don Lawrence, Frank Clark, and Marianne Wiggishoff. Councilmen
Hudson and O'Brien were absent. Also present were Town Manager Paul Nordin, Town Attorney Bill Farrell, and
Town Clerk Cassie Hansen.
AGENDA ITEM#2-CONSIDERATION OF RESOLUTION 1996-37,DECLARING AND ADOPTING THE
RESULTS OF THE GENERAL ELECTION HELD ON MAY 21, 1996; AND ORDERING THE
RECORDING OF SUCH RESOLUTION.
Councilwoman Tibbetts MOVED to approve Resolution 1996-37. Councilwoman Wiggishoff SECONDED thee
motion which CARRIED unanimously.
LAGENDA ITEM#3-CONSIDERATION OF DIRECTING THE TOWN CLERK AND TOWN ATTORNEY
TO PETITION THE SUPERIOR COURT OF MARICOPA COUNTY TO ORDER AN AUTOMATIC
RECOUNT OF THE CANVASSED ELECTION RESULTS FOR THE OFFICE OF COUNCILMEMBER
AS DETERMINED BY RESOLUTION 1996-37.
Councilman Clark MOVED to direct the Town Clerk and Town Attorney to proceed with a recount of election
results. Vice Mayor Lawrence SECONDED the motion which CARRIED unanimously.
AGENDA ITEM #4 - CALL TO THE PUBLIC.
No one came forward.
AGENDA ITEM #5 - ADJOURNMENT.
Councilman Clark MOVED to adjourn the meeting. Councilwoman Tibbetts SECONDED the motion which
CARRIED with a 4-1 vote. Councilwoman Wiggishoff cast the nay vote. The meeting adjourned at 8:34 p.m.
