MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL SESSION OF THE
L FOUNTAIN HILLS TOWN COUNCIL
�r SEPTEMBER 25, 1996
A public meeting of the Fountain Hills Town Council was convened and called to order by Mayor Miles at 9:00
A.M.,Wednesday, September 25, 1996, at the Comfort Inn,located at 17105 E. Shea Blvd.,Fountain Hills,Arizona.
ROLL CALL- Present for roll call were the following members of the Fountain Hills Town Council: Mayor Jerry
Miles, Vice Mayor Lawrence and Councilmembers Marianne Wiggishoff, Sid Apps, Al Poma and Penfield Mower.
Councilman O'Brien was absent. Also present were Town Manager Paul Nordin and Town Clerk Cassie Hansen.
AGENDA ITEM #2 - CONSIDERATION OF THE APPLICATION FOR EXTENSION OF
PREMISES/PATIO PERMIT AS SUBMITTED BY BRUCE CONKLIN FOR THE AMERICAN LEGION
POST#58 FOR SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 28, 1996 FROM 10:00 A.M. TO 6:00 P.M. THE AMERICAN
LEGION DESIRES TO HAVE A BEER GARDEN BEHIND THEIR BUILDING DURING THE
CELEBRATION OF THEIR GRAND OPENING.
Mr. Nordin explained that the American Legion had not submitted the correct paperwork for their request to serve
liquor as part of their grand opening celebration. At the September 19th Council meeting, the Council had approved
a Special Event Liquor License request and should have been presented with a request for an Extension of Premises
permit. Vice Mayor Lawrence MOVED to approve the Extension of Premises/Patio permit for the American Legion.
Councilwoman Wiggishoff SECONDED the motion which CARRIED unanimously.
AGENDA ITEM #3 - ADJOURNMENT.
coo Councilman Poma MOVED to adjourn. Councilman Apps SECONDED the motion which CARRIED unanimously.
The meeting adjourned at 9:05 a.m.
