MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL SESSION OF THE
FOUNTAIN HILLS TOWN COUNCIL
JULY 9, 1997
A public meeting of the Fountain Hills Town Council was convened and called to order by Mayor Miles at 1:00
P.M., Wednesday, July 9, 1997, in the Fountain Hills Town Hall Council Chambers, located at 16836 E. Palisades
Blvd., Building B, Fountain Hills, Arizona.
ROLL CALL- Present for roll call were the following members of the Fountain Hills Town Council: Mayor Jerry
Miles, and Councilmembers Marianne Wiggishoff, Al Poma and Penfield Mower. Vice Mayor O'Brien and
Councilmembers Lawrence and Apps were absent. Also present were Town Manager Paul Nordin, Town Attorney
Bill Farrell, Town Clerk Cassie Hansen, and Town Engineer Randy Harrel.
AGENDA ITEM#2-CONSIDERATION OF RESOLUTION 1997-31,ABANDONING WHATEVER RIGHT,
TITLE, OR INTEREST THE TOWN HAS IN APPROXIMATELY 18' OF THE RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR A
PORTION OF AVENUE OF THE FOUNTAINS AT LA VIDA BUENA (PROPOSED AVENIDA VIDA
BUENA).
Councilwoman Wiggishoff MOVED to approve Resolution 1997-31 as presented. Councilman Poma SECONDED
the motion which CARRIED unanimously.
AGENDA ITEM #3- CONSIDERATION OF THE MAP OF DEDICATION BY MCO PROPERTIES FOR
EAGLE RIDGE DRIVE.
Mr. Nordin stated the Copperwynd project needed the approval of the map of dedication to proceed with their
development. Councilman Mower MOVED to approve the Map of Dedication for Eagle Ridge Drive. Councilman
Poma SECONDED the motion which CARRIED unanimously.
AGENDA ITEM #4 - CALL TO THE PUBLIC.
No one came forward from the public to speak.
AGENDA ITEM #5 - ADJOURNMENT.
Councilman Mower MOVED to adjourn the meeting. Councilman Poma SECONDED the motion. The meeting
adjourned at 1:06 p.m.
